Beginner Mandolin
Students will prepare to play along with friends or participate in a jam by learning basic folk chords with an emphasis on rhythm and the bluegrass ‘chop.’ The goal of the class is to introduce music as a fun group activity, while preparing students for community jams and/or more advanced classes. Classes meet weekly and in person.

Mandolin – From Bluegrass to Jazzy
Students will study ‘Limehouse Blues’, ‘Avalon’, and ‘My Window Faces the South’ during this course. The goal is to set students up with new chord voicings and melodies, allowing them to take a knowledge of the bluegrass repertoire into the world of ‘Swing’ and ‘Jazz’ .
Open to 6 intermediate students.
